You can hardly turn around without tripping over a castle, stately home, garden or area of historical or cultural interest. Have a look at the local National Trust and English Heritage sites.

There is always something of exceptional quality scheduled for theatre and music lovers. Classic concerts, hard-rock bands, pantomimes, theatre, plays and films. Enjoy The Assembly Hall Theatre the Trinity Theatre, and if you are young at heart, The Forum! There are also popular seasonal festivals like The Pantiles Jazz and Local & Live.
Food and Drink
A whole world of cuisine flourishes here. Food & Wine and there is a lot of support for superb local produce. From Farmers’ Markets, posh romantic dinners, to quirky Indian restaurants, you can find anything to suit your style, taste and wallet.
Shopping
The shopping centre is full of unique and exciting shops – from the Victorian feel of Tunbridge Wells High Street and the historic Pantiles, to the modern ROYAL VICTORIA PLACE. The Pantiles is home to a variety of delightful shops, galleries and cafés. The Old High Street and surrounds are full of character with independent shops. Royal Victoria Place is an undercover shopping centre with over 100 well-known High Street brand names under one roof. Camden Road & Monson Road are brimming with specialist independent shops, and just to the north, St John’s Road, is a great place for families with young children to shop, and has some wonderful antiques businesses.
Education
If you have children of junior or secondary school age, Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas have excellent junior schools both in the centre of town, the village area, St John’s, and both boys and girls Secondary. Further out in a more rural community towards Frant and Wadhurst are some brilliant community colleges and schools.
Sports, Games and Gym
Whether you are into private gym, swimming and fitness classes, or a dedicated outdoors person who loves rugby, football, tennis, cricket, cycling, horse riding, squash or fishing there are lots of local clubs.
Transport
The town and surrounds are all serviced by main roads, with the A21, A264, A267 and M25 all within a few miles. The train line services the area from two stations, Tunbridge Wells and High Brooms, both of which are situated on the Hastings to London line, operated by South Eastern. Approximately four trains run every hour into London Bridge and London Charing Cross, and a number into London Cannon Street.
